• Device Identifier: A unique anonymous ID (UUID) generated locally on your device
• Game Statistics: Quiz scores, levels completed, streaks, and performance data
• Username: The display name you choose in the app
• Crash & Performance Data: App crash reports, performance traces, and device information (device model, OS version, available memory) collected via Sentry for stability monitoring

Information Collected via Sign-In (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple:

• Email Address: Used for account identification and recovery
• Display Name: From your Google/Apple profile (can be changed in-app)

Information We DO NOT Collect

• ❌ Device contacts
• ❌ Photos or camera access
• ❌ Microphone access
• ❌ Browsing history or activity in other apps

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

1. Leaderboard Rankings: Display your position among other players globally
2. Game Progress: Save your quiz scores and achievements
3. Statistics: Show your personal performance metrics
4. Account Sync: Keep your progress across app sessions

Data Storage

• Cloud Provider: Supabase (EU servers, Frankfurt, Germany)
• Encryption: All data transmitted via HTTPS
• Retention: Data persists until you request deletion
• Backup: Regular automated backups for data integrity

Data Sharing

We DO NOT:

• ❌ Use data for marketing purposes
• ❌ Track you across other apps or websites

We ONLY share:

Third-Party Services

CircleQuiz uses the following third-party services:

Supabase (Database & Backend)

• Purpose: Store user scores and leaderboard data
• Location: EU (Frankfurt, Germany)
• Privacy Policy: supabase.com/privacy
• Data: Username, email (if signed in), scores, game statistics

Sentry (Crash & Performance Monitoring)

• Purpose: Detect and fix app crashes and performance issues
• Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — ensuring app stability and reliability
• Location: EU (Frankfurt, Germany)
• Privacy Policy: sentry.io/privacy
• Data collected: Crash reports (stack traces, error messages), performance traces, device information (model, OS version, memory), app version. Sentry does not receive your username, email, scores, or game data.
• Retention: Crash data is automatically deleted after 90 days
• Note: Crash reporting is only active in production builds and is not used during development

Google Sign-In (Optional Authentication)

• Purpose: Allow sign-in with your Google account
• Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Data: Email address, display name

Apple Sign-In (Optional Authentication)

• Purpose: Allow sign-in with your Apple ID
• Privacy Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
• Data: Email address (can be hidden via Apple's relay), display name
